About Me

Hi!  My name is Lori-Ann Rothfos and I am so excited to be your child's grade four teacher for the 2019-2020 school year!

I live in Devon with my husband, Mark, and my two wonderful children, Julia and Luke. This is my second year teaching at Robina Baker Elementary School.

Teaching your child is a privilege that I take very seriously.  My goal is to help my students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment that is safe, supportive of risk-taking, and invites students to share their ideas.  I will provide my students with hands-on lessons that will give them the opportunity to be actively involved in their own learning.  I intend to build a structure that promotes cooperation and community, where each student has a sense of belonging and responsibility for the classroom environment.

One thing that I love about teaching is that it provides me with an opportunity for continual learning and growth. My hope is to instill a love of learning in my students, as I share my own passion for learning with them.  My dream for each of my students is that they learn to take control of their learning and to use their skills as a tool for success throughout their lives.

Working together as a team, we can motivate, encourage and enhance your child's learning experience this year.  I look forward to meeting and working with each of you.  Please feel free to contact me by email at loriann.rothfos@blackgold.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

Thank you for your time, involvement and support.
Best Regards,
Lori-Ann Rothfos
