Wednesday, September 3rd


Thank you for taking the time to fill in and return the "Things to Know About My Child" form!  I appreciate your insight and willingness to share this information about your child!  More forms were sent home today from the office.  Please send these back as soon as possible!

 Today we began our Daily 5 literacy program.  The class discussed the importance of "Reading to Self" and we had the opportunity to work on building our "reading stamina."  I also introduced our first reading comprehension strategy called "check for understanding."  Please ask your child to model this strategy at home.
