VIP
Congratulations to Mr. M for being our VIP this week. We really enjoyed spending the week getting to know him more! One fun fact that we learned is that our friend is a master at scaring people. So watch out, you never know when Mr. M might be hiding behind a door to scare you!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Thank you to all of the parents/guardians for coming in to meet with me during Parent Teacher Conferences. Please feel free to contact me at any time if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's progress.

Remembrance Day Celebration
Today we had a wonderful Remebrance Day Celebration. The students did a fabulous job of singing For the Good of Many! It was very touching!
Language Arts
In writer's workshop the students finished their elaborative detail piece about the monster under their bed. I hope you enjoyed reading the students work during parent teacher conferences. We also continued to work on the student's All About Me books. This week the students got to chose their topic and wrote their All About Me paragraphs independently. Great job 3R!
Math
In math this week our focus was using place value to compare and order 3-digit numbers. Here the students are playing a game where they each make a 3-digit number using a spinner and the person with the greatest number gets a point. The winner of the game is the first person to get 5 points.
Social Studies
In preparation of our trip to India, the students researched some essential questions that we would like answered in order to plan our trip. They independently researched some of the following questions about India:
- What language do they speak?
- What is the name of their currency?
- What do people wear in India?
- What do people eat in India?
- What is the weather like at this time of the year?
- What modes of transportation is used?
- What do kids do there for fun?
- Where should we stay?
