I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing break! It's starting to get colder outside, so please ensure your child is dressing appropriately for the weather.
I wanted to send a quick reminder that we are collecting items for Operation Christmas Child. Our class will be putting together at least one or two boxes for either a boy or a girl from ages 5-9 years old. Suggested gifts are:
Toys: small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small etch-a sketch, slinky, etc.
School Supplies: pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or pencil crayons, colouring books, writing pads or paper, solar calculators, etc.
Hygiene Items: toothbrush, mild bar soap (on a plastic bag), comb, washcloth, etc.
Other: hard wrapped candy, sunglasses, ball caps, socks, T-shirts, toy jewelry, hair clips, watches, small picture books, etc.
Please do not include: toothpaste, liquids, items that melt or freeze, shampoo, gels, paint, cream, lip balm, liquid glue, food, chewy/soft centered candy, gum, Rockets, used items, breakable items like glass, porcelain, mirrors, etc.
The deadline to have items to the school is Thursday, November 20th. There are also extra boxes in the office if your family would like to put a box together on your own.
Thanks in advance for your kindness and generosity!
