Curricular Update
During journal writing this week the students were excited to share their ideas for the perfect Valentine's Day party!
Math
The focus this week in math was on using mental math strategies such as "making 10 to add" and "using addition to get the double of a number."
The students are also practicing their mental math facts on a daily basis.
Skating
Thank you again to Mr. Larson and Ms. Potter for setting up the skating activities for the students. I'd also like to send a big shout out to the amazing parents who consistently came out to help tie skates and go on the ice with the students.

Valentine's Day Party
We had a great Valentine's Day Party on Tuesday. The students enjoyed exchanging Valentine's Day cards with their classmates and playing some fun games. Thank you to those students that contributed food for our party.
We thoroughly enjoyed having Garth Prince join us at RBES on Friday. Garth is an African singer, song writer and music teacher. We really enjoyed his workshop and learning the African song "
Congratulations to Miss A. for being chosen as Student of the Week during assembly on Friday.
